Religious writings on Peace.

Zoroastrianism
Founded by the prophet Zoroaster emphasises ethical principles and the pursuit of a better world through good thoughts, words, and deeds, which are seen as contributing to world peace.

Hinduism
Places a strong emphasis on peace, both inner and outer, with teachings rooted in non-violence and the interconnectedness of all beings.

Buddhism
Emphasises that world peace begins with inner peace, achieved through practices like meditation and ethical conduct. By cultivating peace within themselves, individuals can then radiate that peace outwards, influencing their families, communities, and ultimately the world.

Judaism.
Places a high value on peace, emphasising it as a central tenet and a divine imperative. The Hebrew word Shalom encapsulates the concept of peace, signifying not just the absence of conflict, but also wholeness, completeness, and wellbeing. 

Christianity Romans 12:
18 If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.
19 Do not take revenge, my dear friends, but leave room for God’s wrath, for it is written: “It is mine to avenge; I will repay,” says the Lord.
20 On the contrary: “If your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink. In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head.”
21 Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

Islam
A hadith in the Sahih Muslim tells us that God gives in response to gentleness what He does not in response to harshness. (Sahih Muslim, Hadith No. 2593) From this we learn that peaceful activism is clearly superior to violent activism.

From The Bab.
They professed faith in the past without understanding its significance, then later they repudiated the Truth; for they are devoid of discernment. If thou hast decided to shed My blood, wherefore dost thou delay? Thou art now endowed with power and authority. For Me it will prove an infinite bounty conferred by God, while for thee and for them that would commit such an act it will amount to a chastisement meted out by Him (God).
The Bab and Baha'u'llah are the co-founders of the Baha'i Faith.
O ye rulers of the earth! Wherefore have ye clouded the radiance of the Sun, and caused it to cease from shining? Hearken unto the counsel given you by the Pen of the Most High, that haply both ye and the poor may attain unto tranquillity and peace. We beseech God to assist the kings of the earth to establish peace on earth. He, verily, doth what He willeth. (Peace)
Writings from Baha'u'llah.

Baha'i.
Be united, O kings of the earth, for thereby will the tempest of discord be stilled amongst you, and your peoples find rest, if ye be of them that comprehend. Should any one among you take up arms against another, rise ye all against him, for this is naught but manifest justice.

God’s purpose in sending His Prophets unto men is twofold. The first is to liberate the children of men from the darkness of ignorance, and guide them to the light of true understanding. The second is to ensure the peace and tranquillity of mankind, and provide all the means by which they can be established.

The Baha'i Faith

Atheists Too Can Find Peace.
While atheist do not follow any religion I believe that they also want to live in peace. However as far as I am aware there are no writing to support this.
You may have noticed that I have only put one link to a religion! Why only the one? Well I am a Baha'i we believe that all religions come from the one same God. Therefore we see all religions as one religion with the Baha'i faith being the newest. Baha'u'llah teaches us that the human race is one race where all are equal, and that the Earth is one country. When these onenesses are accepted we can achieve peace on Earth.
